I’d even go so far as to say no naatkhwani expenses (mehfil, langar, naatkhwan fees, neochawar handouts etc.) by Sunnis till this project is complete. I know it sounds like a parent telling his kids, but so be it. No mobile or Nintendo on weekdays! let every Sunni masjid imam issue a diktat to that order. you love Ala Hazrat? help publicize his works and make them accessible to the world. put your money where your mouth is! be honest to yourself, naatkhwani is just your excuse for a halal nightlife (most Awam). I would suggest an international poster too with payment options in usd or through stripe, PayPal etc., so that word goes out worldwide.
Are we reduced to complainers? This forum is full of lovers and admirers of A'la Hazrat. It is a common point of complaint around here that the Sunnis are not doing enough to make the works of A'la Hazrat accessible in the Arabic world to combat Devbandi and Salafi propoganda against A'la Hazrat's esteemed character and illustrious works. The fact remains that DIYN is trying to raise funds to translate FR into Arabic but seem to be receiving a worse than lacklustre response in return. When will we overcome our penchant for complaining and instead contribute to concrete action? We must support this project or remain hypocritical in speech and action. I heard some years ago that Tajush Shariah had began the translation of FR. If so, does anyone know if this is still in manuscript form? Last week I heard that Mufti Aslam Raza (UAE) had also translated some volumes. Again, I'm not certain if this is factual. Anyhow, Well done to DIYN. Allah allow their team to complete this work.
We need someone who read and understands Alahazrat well to supervise this project. I think shaykh @abu Hasan would be great for this as he has been reading Alahazrat for sometime and a few experienced ulama from the subcontinent as well. If we want to do this we need to do it properly leaving no room for interpretation errors.
