The problem is, Tahir ul doesn't face anyone. So ulama here will answer better, but then how do you establish hujjah and iltizam? Yes, if the guy actually faces ulama and ends up defending his kufr, then ulama may declare him... Some already have...
i still believe the bulk majority of Sunni scholars are avoiding putting the hukme Shara3 on this murtad. he needs to be dealt with like the devbandi tawagheet and his blasphemies may be different but at the same level as theirs. the same applies to mark hanson and anyone else who's licking yahoodi & nasrani boots.
mujaddid of the current century (miyat - hadirah) every mujaddid was a mujaddid of his century - and in that particular century - "miyat hadirah" the work of the mujaddid is not time-bound, like that of a president whose term has ended, or a king whose reign is done. there are ulama such as imam ghazali whose influence has lasted for nearly a 1000 years and continues to inspire us. similarly, alahazrat's influence has extended to our century as well. thus alahazrat's work inspires and influences the work of sunnis even today - and his body of work is the best defence against wahabi/ghayr muqallid/devbandi/qadiyani and a host of modern fitan. his books continue to shine the brightest light on issues and tribulations, in the darkness of our age. everything that we do, is directly or indirectly an outcome of his influence. more than anything else, the emphasis on the core philosophy - that love of the Messenger of Allah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam is faith itself and everything should align towards it will be alahazrat's lasting legacy. fayz e raza jaari rahega. in sha'Allah. --- tahir previously styled himself as mujaddid e rawaan sadi, which also means the same.
