this forum is 21 years old. we been refuting online since 1998. and i been refuting offline for many years prior to that.
there are two reasons for mentioning this. firstly, we have seen and interacted with so many people in the past 30 years (both online and offline) that we can instantly tell where the conversation is going. of course, we may get it wrong sometimes (we do not claim clairvoyance - just experience) but most of the time, our hunch turns out to be right.

mufti rashid sb does not make a video thousand times. it is put out there and people find and share it.
the forum may be a bit difficult for newcomers, but there is plenty of material on this forum.

unlike young men who have plenty of time on their hands with nothing to do, we have to also have a life outside online platforms and real-life struggles. but yes, if it can be done in minutes, we won't hesitate.

I have seen many Deobandis and Wahhabis leave their sects and join Maslak-e-Alahazrat simply by watching YouTube videos of scholars like Mufti Rashid Mehmood Rizvi. This is because those videos rely solely on Quran and Hadith references. In contrast, some other scholars often provide very little valuable information even in a whole 20-minute video. So, the difference is clear in approach. Unlike me, you are a scholar or someone who possess strong knowledge, so you can simply answer his questions within minutes. That is just my point of view.

 

Was all of that really necessary? Why not simply answer his questions, even if they have been answered thousands of times before?

Salafis Kufr
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The Children of Israel split into seventy-one sects, and my nation will split into seventy-two sects, all of which will be in the Fire except one, which is the main body (Al-Jama'ah).”
This narration is found in Sunan Ibn Majah, Kitab Al-Fitan (Book of Tribulations), Baab: The Division of the Ummah, Hadith number 3993, and is considered authentic (Sahih) in status.
The Salafis claim that the knowledge of the unseen (Ilm-e-Ghaib) is shirk if attributed to the Prophet. However, according to this hadith, the Prophet not only knows about the past but also the future. We believe that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) knowledge is limited but it's like a vast sea as compared to our knowledge and Allah granted such knowledge to him. Completely denying it is kufr.
Deobandis Kufr
The Fatwa of Kufr was issued on the insolent Deobandi Maulvis by the ‘Ulamaa of Harmain Tayyibain: Makkah Madeena Shareef.

This fatwa was issued in 1320 A.H (1900 AD) by the Saliheen ‘Ulamaa of Haram Shareef and the great holy places before the Saudi Wahaabi Najdi forced themselves into power.

The subject that has been given the Islamic Sentence of Kufr are those insolent and degrading statements written by the Deobandi Maulvis who have clearly insulted the Holy Prophet’s (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) dignity and character. The following statements have been thoroughly investigated and issued with the Fatwa of Kufr.
(Naqal-e-Kufr Kufr Na Bashad)

1. Statement from the book ‘Hifzul Imaan‘ stating that the Holy Prophet’s knowledge of the unseen (Ilme-e-Ghaib) is the same as Zain or Amar or children, madmen, animals and four-legged beasts, written by Ashraf Ali Thanvi.

2. Statements from the book ‘Bahrain-e-Qatia‘ stating that Saram and Malikul Maut’s knowledge is more than the Holy Prophet’s, and proof exists for this for Satan but not for the Holy Prophet. Also it is not Shirk to believe this for Satan but it is Shirk to believe the same for the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) written by Khalil Ahmed Ambethwi and certified and embossed by Rashid Ahmed Gangohi, also the same agreement in his book ‘Fatawa-e-Rashidia‘.

3. Statement from the book ‘Tahzeerun Naaz‘ stating that there is possibility of there being another Prophet after the Holy Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam), written by Qassim Nanotwi.

4. Fourth one was that "Allah can lie" by Rashid Ahmed Gangohi

The above mentioned books were very carefully scrutinized involving years of investigation, this being 30 years for ‘Tahzeerun’, 16 years for ‘Baharain-e-Qatia’ and over 1 year for ‘Hifzul Imaan’. During this time letters were written and messages were sent asking the Deobani Maulvis to either give valid reasons or renounce their statements and perform Tauba (ask for forgiveness). But no answers were ever given and so, therefore, Imam Ahmed Raza Khan had but no other alternative but to issue Ashraf Ali Thanvi, Rashid Ahmed Gangohi, Khalil Ahmed Ambethwi, and Qassim Nanotwi with the Fatwa of Kufr (Sentence of Disbelief) clearly defining that these Maulvis are Kafirs.


This Fatwa was presented to the great ‘Ulamaa and Islamic Jurists of Harmain Tayyibain to ask for their opinion. Thirty three ‘Ulamaa of Makkah and Madeena Shareef have their verdict that these Deobandi Maulvis had definitely performed Kufr.
"There were also over 270 Scholars from pre-1947 Pakistan and India who approved Hussam ul Harmain."

Barelvi is not a sect

 

The salafis are going to say that but Abdur Hassan's primary premise was that Istigatha was shirk. He was unable to prove that. In fact it's similar to the debate last week, the Deos couldn't prove that Qasim Nanotvi didn't negate temporal finality of prophethood in the statements in which he was taken to task on. Red herrings don't win you debates.

 

when people play on a super safe wicket - are not willing to stick their necks or reputation. this is what alahazrat lamented during the fitnah of the nadwah. many staunch sunnis remained aloof when a handful of them protested, refuted and were labelled fitnah mongers and everything else.

A lot of 'Tanatan Sunnis', especially those who claim to be Rizvis just critcise and then hide. Probably claim that it's because of video they didn't participate in the debate.
Sh Asrar has his faults but no other English speaking Alim has done more to defend the Sunni creed in the last decade or so.
