Yes, I didn't know he was a Deobandi, I sent the PDF after researching the narration on Malik Al Dar. I haven't practiced istighatha in that manner but have done so before with angels. In the discussion with the Salafi I was just discussing that narration in particular, unsure if there are any others.
your profile says you are 22 and you say you don't know the deobandit criminal Abul Hasan Hussain Ahmed and also the pdf you shared from deobandi doesn't have any deobandi content, but masha Allah, you know alot about Advance Hadith Sciences but didn't know about deobandi celebrity Abul Hasan Hussain Ahmed of darultahqiq who some how is connected to Hussain Ahmad Tndvi who calls himself Madani - they shaykh al islam of deobandis. you say in a discussion with salafi about isthighatha, you mean you were present in a discussion where a deobandi is discussing with salafi. Sorry, I did not understand, do you believe in seeking madad like saying Ya Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani Shayan lil Allah? or are you seeking to prove validity of ya jilani madad? in the other thread you said: "I've tried to research the Barelwi and Deobandi dispute for some time and don't really want to get into it without even knowing Urdu/Farsi/Arabic."
Jzk. Will check it out. I am near Shaykh Asrar's masjid. Perhaps it is worth asking him, although the few times I have tried to pose questions to him he has been busy.
Lol... if I remember well, that character is from the marifah days, he hates our sunniport abu Hasan from the bottom of his heart, and apparently has had his hands burnt here too as did many undercover devbandis.
@Ibby AH the pdf blazing star is authored by a notorious deobandi abul hasan hussain ahmed who works with deobandi zameel shaytan They run a forum called Ahl Sunnah boards and barelwism blog. Appreciate if you can add a disclaimer when sharing a deobandi material. A commoner cannot differentiate between sunni and a heretic and can get influenced by heretics.
salaam In a discussion with a Salafi about istighatha, I brought up the narration of Malik al Dar. I mentioned some scholars who authenticated it (Ibn Sa'd, Imam Qastalani, Imam Ibn Hajar al Haytami) and that Imam Ibn Hibban listed the narrator in his al-Thiqat. They replied that ibn Hajar was mutasaahil, and that ibn Hibban inclued people in al-Thiqat even if they were majhool. They also mentioned Imam Qastalani was mutasaahil and very lenient as well. Another example discussion is here: https://ia800204.us.archive.org/5/items/TheBlazingStar/The Blazing Star.pdf I often see this type of critique from Wahhabi circles but rarely see it addressed when look at Sunni responses. Granted I am probably looking in the wrong place for it. Can anyone share examples from our classical or later Sunni hadeeth methodology that explain how cases like these are approached? jzk
