Mods, please move this latest digression into a new thread (on photo) - so as not to divert from the original topic exposing the slanderer.
Apparently, it's not as straight-forward as using google images and general LLM tools (which are too lazy to go beyond the most obvious answer based on most circulated image). At least, that's how all my naive attempts with these tools ended. May be someone with experience of doing reverse image searches would either know how to dig smartly or have access to paid/professional reverse image search tools. Reverse image search, if done with diligence, should be able to pinpoint when and where this fake image first surfaced on internet. I don't remember seeing this purported portrait photo until last few (4-5) years. As per "tin eye" image search, this first appeared around 2014. Before this purported one, only other photo that was in circulation couple of decades back was a very grainy one, taken from a distance of 2-3 elders seated around cushion. Again, nobody could vouch for its authenticity (except that its quality was reminiscent of daguerre type prevalent around the turn of last century). Thankfully, that photo isn't circulated anymore on internet. --- There's another fairly new (and lesser known) photo floating around of AlaHazrat's youth days - this one mischievously circulated by minhajis to claim that AlaHazrat's beard was no different from TuQ's short non-shar'yi beard. After doing reverse image, Sunni sleuths found that the rumoured photo was first taken in 2007 in Madinah university library! don't AI, Grok and ChatGPT provide those capabilities now to everyone? you paste an image and they tell you what it's all about yes?
Shouldn't it be possible for someone (technically capable) to do reverse image search and determine when did this purported photo first appear on internet and who this person could be?
The speaker mentions that AlaHazrat was not known to wear glasses/specs and wear imamah like the one shown in widely circulated photo.
