No hate to Mawlana Saqib Shaami at all, his videos are terrific and he understands what he's saying but I'm almost 99 percent sure he's using the argument from Hamza Tzortiz's book 'the Divine Reality', which again is not a problem at all. We all quote from previous scholars and we transmit the knowledge on, no problem but he should really inform his audience where he's got this argument from. I'm not saying Hamza Tzortiz was the first to offer the argument but the way Mawlana Saqib Shaami is ordering the argument is eerily similar to this book e.g. when he talks about the universe coming from nothing and then moves on to talk about the quantum vacuum, its like reading from Hamza's book. But Alhamdullilah nevertheless. May Allah reward him

======================= discussion of the book: ----- an older video i presume: deconstructing atheism: ----- another intro to the book, and i assume it is a summary:
to be honest, i haven't watched any of them. but i trust sh. asrar has done a good job. i was asked by a young man about what i thought about the shamail-javed debate and whether he did well. i told him that as a muslim, i am glad that he put a good show of islam against atheism - but left a lot to be desired. and of c, as a sunni, i have my reservations about devbandis and not very impressed from a technical perspective. what shamail did was mostly superficial arguments and would probably crumble if a hard nosed atheist faced him instead of a mere celebrity who writes mediocre stories, such as javed akhtar. i told him that our ulama have also done extensive research and rebuttals. and i searched for these videos of sh. asrar. i wish sunnis could share them as a set - instead of whining about shamail. share them on your social media platforms etc. make short clips of key moments you like - and post on instagram. ==== chapter 1 --- chapter 2 --- chapter 3 --- chapter 4 --- chapter 5 wa billahi't tawfiq.[/MEDIA]
