there is a short risalah on this a'ali al-ifadah fi ta'ziyati'l hindi wa bayan al-shahadah. please post these texts on FB etc - because the taziyah thing is being added to 'barelwis' account.
another fatwa v24 p499 === another fatwa v24 p500 ============ another fatwa FR v24 p503 yet two more fatawa FR v24 p507
on this accusation that sadru'l afadil paid for taziyahs, here is an even more interesting story. allamah zafaruddin bihari asked about certain mashayikh and that it is said they walked along with taziyahs. alahazrat says - both anecdotes are lies. people have a habit of falsely attributing things to ulama just to validate their practices. he goes on to say that people have said that my grandfather participated in taziyahs (which is a lie) and says: leave all these, i am still alive and people say that i go with taziyahs! fatawa ridawiyyah v24 p497
and as if this is not sufficient, sadrul afadil himself refuted these practices. see maqaalat sadrul afadil; this article was published in 1350 AH in the periodical al-sawad al-azam. the magazine was founded by sadru'l afadil himself: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawad-e-Azam_(magazine)
where is the proof for this claim that sadrul afadil gave chandah for taziya daari? it is inconceivable that such an aalim would give donations for such bidah! --- sadrush shariah imam amjad ali was a close associate and in bahar e shariat he writes: vol.16, p646-7
What would be the ruling on these Syeds and Ulemma ? https://www.facebook.com/reel/1117235393794110?mibextid=9drbnH&s=yWDuG2&fs=e - Syed Muhammad Ashraf Ashrafi Jilani https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1CH1oojsdR/ - Syed Ahshmi Miya https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1Fk3ZjpjTJ/ https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1YqAePKXzM/ https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CCKm1civt/
3. 'There is no basis in the shariah for having taziyahs.' (FR 16:151) 4. 'Taziyah and instruments are both transgressions.' (FR 16:155) 5. Alahazrat was asked: 'What do the ulama say about a person who builds the taziyah himself with the intention of reward and considering it an act of worship and also exhorts others to build taziyahs, stands when he sees taziyahs, recites fatihah upon them, walks bare footed alongside taziyahs to honour them and has elegies recited.' Alahazrat replied: 'Taziyah is certainly impermissible and an innovation but forbid! It is not kufr that his funeral will not be performed or his sacrifice is forbidden or he is amongst idolators.' (FR 21:221) 6. 'A Muslim cannot consider idols and taziyahs to be the same, although taziyahs too are not permitted.' (FR 21:246) 7. 'If an accurate copy of the mausoleum of Imam Husayn رضي الله عنه is made for blessings and without non-shariah compliant acts is placed inside the home, there is no harm in this. But forbid! Taziyah is certainly not an accurate copy. Nevermind being a copy, the makers do not even intend to imitate it. There are numerous additions that have no resemblance to the original. Then some have fairies, burāq and futile grandeur. Then it is paraded from place to place to renew sorrow and self flagellation occurs around it and forbidden elegies and ululation. Some bow to it for salutations, others circumambulate and some prostate to it.' (FR 21:423) 8. 'Beating drums is forbidden and taziyahs and beating chests is haram.' (FR 24:141) 9. 'Taziyahs are forbidden.' (FR 24:172) 10. 'The prevalent taziyah is an amalgamation of evil innovations. To make them and to go to see them is forbidden and to respect and honour them is haram and a severe innovation.' (FR 24:489)
Alahazrat on taziyah: 1. 'To respect the taziyah is innovation.' (Fatawa Ridawiyyah 6:608) 2. 'Having a taziyah is impermissible and partaking in it is not allowed.' (FR 16:121)
